David Neal's interest in theatrical lighting began in his teens in East London England in the mid 70's. He went on to do many tours of the UK, France, Germany, Belgium and Czechoslovakia while also pursuing playing guitar and singing in bands. David came to Canada in 1980 with his Ska band 'The Villains' and completed 14 road tours and released 2 LP's. After Expo '86, David started a band with Christie Lites' Chris Grant, called Skaboom! and had success completing 2 tours and releasing an LP. In 1988 David began working for Westsun Vancouver and went on to become Sales Manager. Dave took a hiatus in 2001 and sailed the South Pacific from Tahiti to New Zealand. He returned to England in January 2002 and joined the sales department at AC Lighting. January 2003 saw David fly back to Canada to join the Christie Lites Sales Vancouver team.
