Mark Pearon got his start in the entertainment industry in the summer of 1981 working in the back shop of Canadian Staging Projects. It was here that Mark was first exposed to the Lighting end of the business and learned many aspects of Stage Lighting. He was also able to work many IA calls and received exposure to the behind the scenes aspect of entertainment lighting.
During the next three summers Mark continued to work at CSP and catch IA calls to help finance his Post-Secondary Education at the University of Western Ontario. In the spring of 1985 after completing his BA in Physical Education Mark joined CSP full time.
By the fall of 1985 Marked had worked his way into the Sales Department at CSP. For the next seven years Mark learned the ropes of entertainment lighting sales and the importance of customer service. In 1992 he was given the opportunity to join William F. White. It was here that he was exposed to the motion picture and television business.
Mark continued to develop his sales knowledge with exposure to project sales in both the Theatrical and Television markets. In the fall of 1999 Mark made the decision to leave the entertainment lighting industry and venture into industrial sales at the urging of a long time friend.
After three years outside the business Mark made contact with his old boss from William F. White now the current President of Sales at Christie Lites, Bob Johnston. In January 2003 Mark joined the team at Christie Lites. Since that time Mark has focused his efforts on the Division 16 side of the business (new construction) as well as reconnecting with many of his previous contacts and customers. |
